Barnaby Bear in Hong Kong:

Today Mr. Bird, Shona, Gemma, Chris and me went in the car to a place called Ocean Park.  When we got there we met a funny clown who was very nice and then we went in to see the pandas.  There are two - a lady panda called Jia Jia who stayed at the back of her cage.  The other panda was called An An and he came down to the front where we were and ate some biscuits.  Then he ate some special plants called bamboo which did not look very tasty to me.  He liked them.

Then we went into a building where there were some dinosaurs.  I was very scared and Shona looked after me; she said she was pretending not to be scared but I think she was.  There was one big one kept in a cage and every few minutes the lights would go red and make noises when the dinosaur moved and roared and tried to get out.  I didn't like that very much because I think he wanted to eat me.

Afterwards we went on a cable car which went up the hill and along the side of the sea.  When we got to the other end we saw some dolphins do tricks and one was to hit a ball which was high in the air over the water where they were swimming.  One man stood on the backs of two dolphins whilst they swam.  I'm glad I did not have to try it.  We also saw some sea lions who played with a ball and clapped themselves.  We went up in a big tower which moved around so we could see the sea and land all around Ocean Park.  We didn't stay up there for long.  When we had something to eat, we went on the Raging River which was a scary climb up a hill and we then rode around for a bit before we went over a steep drop and tried to splash everyone who was watching.  Gemma got the wettest because she was in the front with Mr. Bird.  I didn't get very wet because I hid with Shona and Chris in the back.  Our picture was taken by the people who own the river and Mr Bird bought a picture.

Then we went to look at some fish who live in a very big fish tank.  There were lots of different sizes and shapes and colours and the tank was very deep.

Then we had to go and we got the cable car back to the car and went back home.
