Barnaby Bear in Hong Kong:

Today, we went to the Zoo with Chris whilst Annette stayed home. We walked down the hill to the zoo and I hope we don't have to walk back.  The hill is very steep and it would be a lot easier to go back in a taxi.

At the zoo, we saw lots of animals including a panther and some raccoons.  There were lots of different birds but the funniest animal was a big orangutan.  He just sat there in his cage and yawned all the time.  At the bottom of the zoo there was a beautiful fountain - I have never seen one as nice as this before.

Afterwards we went to the shops and chose some videos for the girls to watch, before we got a taxi back to where we were staying.  I was glad about that because my legs are so short and I would not have been able to walk back.

In the evening Mr. Bird, Chris and Annette went to see a concert by an American band called Balfa Toujours who play a style of music called Cajun, and an English Band called Little Johnny England who play something called folk-rock.  Mr. Bird was excited by this because he said they were friends of his.
