Barnaby Bear in Hong Kong 09, Monday

Today the girls and I and Mr. Bird and Annette went to a place called Stanley Market too do some shopping.  We took the bus from Admiralty all the way to Stanley and it went past a building with a hole in it at a place called Repulse Bay.  Annette said this was because of something called Feng Shui which is a Chinese way of building things.  According to a legend the Chinese have, a dragon lives in the hills at Repulse Bay and when the people were having their homes built, the dragon would not have been able to fly to the beach.  So the building had a hole built into it and the dragon was happy.  We didn't see the dragon and I was glad because I'm not good with very large animals.

At Stanley we went to a restaurant called Lucy's and the food there was very good.

In the market Mr Bird bought a dressing gown with Chinese patterns for Shona and Gemma, and a Chinese dress for Gemma.  Shona didn't want one.  He also bought some presents for his friends and he got me a nice Chinese outfit.  We had to look in a lot of shops because most of the clothes for little bears like me were either too small or too big.  But we finally found one for me; I think I look very smart in it.

This was my favourite day.
