We
recently (June 2000) enjoyed a family gathering at one of my cousins, in Clare
in Suffolk.
It was a great opportunity for everyone to get together - four grandmas and one
grand-dad, seven of their collective off-spring and a further eight
children. The weather was kind, but could have been brighter. There
were a few drops of rain as the BBQ got going, but thankfully it didn't last.
With
a bonfire to finish on Saturday, croquet on the Sunday and a couple of walks
around the area, it was a great weekend and so good to see everyone again.
We'll be doing it again next year.
Aunt Eileen caught Shona hiding in the
trees, whilst I found Gemma skating across the lawn. |
